Candidate Information

Salary: up to £30,000

Reports to: Head of Industry Development, Events and Partnerships

Annual leave: 25 days holiday per annum plus 3 additional fixed days at
Christmas / New Year.
Location: Central London office at 51 Moorgate with occasional travel required

 

UKSIF is the membership organisation connecting the UK sustainable investment and finance community, committed to growing sustainable and responsible finance in the UK. Our vision is a fair, inclusive and sustainable financial system that works for the benefit of society and the environment.

UKSIF exists to bring together the UK’s sustainable finance and investment community and support our members to expand, enhance and promote this key sector. Our work drives growth and new opportunities for our members as global leaders in the sustainable finance industry.

UKSIF was founded in 1991 and now has 320 members made up of investment managers, pension funds, banks, financial advisers, research providers, consultants and NGOs. We have seen increasing member engagement and strong membership growth over recent years and are looking to build on this track record.

We are now seeking an Events Administrator to help with our enhanced and expanded events programme. Working with the UKSIF events team and members, you will help support the development and delivery of a vibrant events programme which will support the drive to a more sustainable finance system and help deliver UKSIF’s mission to connect the sustainable finance community, share knowledge and successfully influence government policy.

In the past three years, UKSIF has grown from a five-person to an eleven-person team, this is an exciting opportunity to shape the future of a rapidly growing organisation at the forefront of sustainable finance.

This role will suit an experienced administrator or an ambitious graduate, a quick learner, who takes ownership of projects and would like to grow and develop with a dynamic team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Playing a key role in the delivery of UKSIF’s expansive events programme, ensuring every event attendee and speaker has a great experience. This includes:
    • supporting event logistics
    • liaison with event venues
    • coordinating delegate attendance and speaker briefings
    • drafting membership communications and event invitations
    • on-site events assistance
    • day-to-day admin of the events team
    • keeping the events website updated
  • Contributing to the development of the overall events strategy
  • Supporting UKSIF’s wider work, including membership engagement, communications and policy events.

Person Specification

The applicant must have:

  • A passion for sustainability, climate change and social issues
  • Good team working skills
  • Brilliant attention to detail
  • The ability to balance multiple projects at once
  • Excellent communication skills

Desirable:

  • Experience working within small organisations
  • Some experience in events admin
  • Some financial services or sustainability topic knowledge
